The name of the course is cross culture and communication (CCC). The course is designed to the English department students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG). There is no pre requisite to join the course. It is a 2 credit course. This is a content-based integrated skills course focusing on intercultural communication and discussion skills. The strategy used in this course is flipped classroom where the lectures will be done online via either video, audio and or power point uploaded in the university Moodle. The students are asked to register the Moodle to access the materials given. They will be able to download the materials, do the quiz and do the tasks uploaded in Moodle before the face to face session.
Before implementing the full version and session of flipped classroom for CCC, a pilot project is needed to find out how students react to this new way of learning and whether this strategy improve their intercultural communicative competence. This Moodle is the pilot project of CCC. Some students who did not take CCC yet will voluntarily join this pilot project for two face to face meetings.
